Tongabezi Lodge is an exclusive lodge situated on the banks of the Zambezi River, 15km upstream from the magnificent Victoria Falls.
Accommodation at Tongabezi Lodge is in five luxury cottages and four spacious open-planned houses. All rooms have magnificent views of the river and a private veranda. Each of the houses has unique architectural features, four-poster beds and large airy mosquito canopies. Tongabezi accommodates 18 guests only.
Activities available include, visits to Victoria Falls, Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park and Livingstone museums and markets, as well as boat trips, canoeing, white water rafting and tiger fishing on the river, tennis on a grass tennis court, swimming in the pool built into the rock, golf, croquet and riding.
Also available are special champagne luncheons on Livingstone Island, in the middle of the Falls, and fully catered canoe safaris camping on islands.
Canoeing offers a novel and exciting way to see Africa, and can be enjoyed by first-timers and veterans alike.
We think any opportunity to step outside the cosseted realm of the safari goer and into the real Africa should be taken if at all possible.
We can arrange fishing tours for both experienced fly fishermen and beginners. Many lodges offer fishing as an activity - notably in the Lower Zambezi.
River cruises offer a different perspective on the bush and can be the only means of transport during rainy season!
