Mchenja Bush Camp

Mchenja is a seasonal bush camp on the banks of the Luangwa River.

The four canvas chalets have been built on raised platforms under thatch and nestle under a grove of ancient ebony trees. All the rooms have en-suite bathrooms and are comfortably furnished.

There is a main chitenge under thatch, which houses the bar and lounge area, although most meals are enjoyed under the canopy of the magnificent trees outside, overlooking the river.

Guests staying at Mchenja can choose whether they want to view their wildlife on foot or from an open gameviewing vehicle. As is the case with Kakuli, the game viewing in this area is superb and night drives are usually very worthwhile.
