Kafunta's Island Bush Camp lies under a grove of Mahogany trees on the only habitable island on the Luangwa River.
A stay here provides visitors with a uniquely rustic experience sleeping in grass/reed huts, with the modern comforts of hot showers and running water. Each chalet has a private veranda overlooking the Luangwa River.
The Island Bush Camp is 2 hour's drive south from Kafunta River Lodge in a very remote game-rich area of the southern section of the Park. This complete solitude, far away from other safari operators, provides guests with the ideal location for walking safaris.
